Colemmanuel Laundry & Cleaning Services works out of two branches on the Sakumono–Spintex stretch of Greater Accra, handling everyday laundry, occasion wear, household linen and the deep cleaning most laundries send you elsewhere for.
Our story
Started with one counter and a short list of rules.
Colemmanuel began as a single laundry counter serving the neighbourhoods around Sakumono, taking in the work nobody else wanted to be careful with — lace, beaded kaba, suits with linings, duvets too big for a domestic machine.
What kept people coming back was not speed. It was that the count matched, the whites stayed white, and the price quoted was the price paid. So those became the rules, and they have not changed since.
Sakumono is now our main branch and our larger plant, where the bulky and the delicate are finished. Spintex opened as a second counter for the traffic along the Spintex Road — drop off on your way out, collect on your way home. Both run the same sorting, the same detergents and the same finishing, because a brand that means two different things at two addresses does not mean much.
Alongside garment care we took on what households kept asking for anyway: sofas, carpets, curtains, windows and floors. It is the same discipline applied to bigger things — test first, clean to the material, dry it properly.

How we work
Standards, written down so they can be held to.

Counted in, counted out
Your items are listed at drop-off and checked against that list before they go back to you. Nothing is estimated.

One household at a time
Your wash is not mixed with anyone else's. It is a small thing that turns out to matter a great deal.
- 03
Re-done if it is not right
If a mark survived the first pass or a crease came out wrong, bring it back and we will clean it again at no charge.

Two branches, one standard
Sakumono and Spintex run the same sorting, the same detergents and the same finishing. Use whichever is closer.

Quoted before we start
You get a price for your actual bundle before any work begins — no surprise totals at collection.

Six days a week
Open monday – saturday, 7:00am – 7:00pm. Urgent items are worth a phone call — we will tell you honestly if it can be done.
Inside the plant
Five steps, in the same order, every time.

Booked and counted
Message us on WhatsApp or walk into either branch. Items are counted and listed in front of you, so the bundle that leaves is the bundle that comes back.
- 02
Sorted before washing
Whites, colours, delicates and heavy cottons are separated, and anything stained is flagged and pre-treated by stain type rather than scrubbed at random.
- 03
Cleaned to the fabric
Wash temperature, cycle and detergent are matched to what the fabric can take. Dry cleaning, steam and extraction each have their own bay.
- 04
Pressed and finished
Steam-pressed, checked under light for missed marks, buttons and seams inspected, then hung or folded the way you asked for it.
- 05
Back in your hands
Collect from the branch or have it delivered to your door. Every item is wrapped, so it survives the trip home and the week in your wardrobe.
